Chief Investment Officer
As the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Platt Wealth Management, Jeff brings over 30 years of wealth management experience to the firm. He believes that personal and customized advice and portfolio management is in the best interest of clients—it may take more time to offer custom solutions rather than cookie-cutter plans, but clients are better served in the long run.
Jeff started as a solo practitioner and has worked at or been a partner at a variety of firms. He has seen what does and does not work well for clients. This goal of providing customized services and comprehensive advice eventually led Jeff to open his own company in 2018. He searched for and found a team dedicated to putting the interest of clients first and who showed passion for wanting to help and do the right thing. These committed individuals continue to impress him with all they do for clients.
Jeff remembers reading many years ago about the Certified Financial Planning education programs starting around the country. He thought, “This is a great idea—the integration of investment management, risk management, and retirement planning.” The CFP seed was planted, although it would not come to fruition until many years later.
Jeff went on to law school and opened his practice. After two years, he did not feel he was on the right path. A friend asked him to interview at Grubb & Ellis, where he spent twelve years as a commercial real estate broker.
This broad experience helps him analyze clients’ whole picture if they own real estate or partnership interests. Looking back, Jeff feels thankful that his broken road led him straight to Platt Wealth Management.
