Kim Stimson

Client Service Associate

Kim first joined our team as an Administrative Assistant and now excels as a Client Service Associate, responding to client questions and helping our advisors with everything from account maintenance to managing calendars and assisting with company operations. A former professional baker, her career in the food service industry sharpened her customer service and organizational skills. She puts customer care and consideration first.

Like a true Californian, Kim loves being near any body of water and has lived in Southern California most of her life. When she isn’t busy helping clients, she enjoys relaxing and spending quality time with her partner and 5-year-old son, Finn.

I love helping clients with…

I enjoy helping clients troubleshoot logistical things like accessing our custodial website or using technology to share documents with advisors securely. I love knowing that I’m helping them achieve their financial goals. I appreciate that our clients are trying to be more educated and involved in their finances, so I’m happy to do anything I can to facilitate that and make things easier for them.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

I finished college with a newborn baby, believe it or not. A Bachelor’s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences, I’m pretty proud of that! My professors were accommodating and let me bring Finn to lectures and labs, and classmates even looked after him while I worked. You know what they say, it takes a village.

Which hobby are you most passionate about?

I love being in the kitchen, whether I’m baking or cooking. French pastries, eclairs, scones, and croissants are my favorite go-to things to bake. I also really enjoy cooking meals for Finn. Aside from that, I like taking photos of Finn and different landscapes with my 35mm film camera.

What is your motto or mantra?

The one thing I try to instill in my son is something I live by – be kind. You never know what someone may be going through, and a little kindness goes a long way.

What are the causes you care about? Or tell me a little about the organizations you or your family support.

I support veterans. My grandfathers were retired Naval officers; my partner is a former US Marine. I also donate to the APS foundation to help keep people like me with APS (Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome) – an autoimmune disorder that causes an increased risk of blood clots and strokes.
