Nothing makes me happier than knowing I made a tangible contribution to another’s well-being. As a financial advisor associate, I work with clients to execute their requests and support their financial journey. Above all else, I seek to understand each client’s particular needs.  Each individual’s financial situation is unique to them. Attention to detail and customized financial advising is essential to help clients meet their goals.  Whether I am developing a financial plan or constructing an investment portfolio, the client always comes first.

On a day-to-day basis, I work with our team to develop and implement solutions for our client’s financial needs.  I assist our Chief Investment Officer in evaluating client portfolios, conducting research on various securities, and putting together comprehensive reports.  I serve as the main point of contact for client requests.  I take pride in taking care of our clients and ensuring their peace of mind.

Create, Grow, and Preserve Wealth

I was around 12 years old when the 2008 recession hit. The economic downturn was very impactful on my family and caused much confusion for me as a young adult. It was hard for me to understand why I had to change schools or why my family seemed stressed every day.

Without proper planning, the chaos and stress, financial hardship, and the future’s uncertainty can be devastating. 


Coming out of this experience, I wanted to learn how money works and plan for unfortunate events. To quote one of my favorite books, Rich Dad Poor Dad, “Money without financial intelligence is money soon gone.” To create, grow, and preserve wealth, I needed the proper education and experience and ultimately chose finance as my major. I completed my Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from San Diego State University while working working full-time. I am very proud that I was able to pay for my tuition and books and graduate without any debt. 

A passion for finance and investment management


At San Diego State, I had a professor who inspired and sparked my interest in investment and portfolio management. His knowledge and passion for the topic showed me how impactful a well-constructed portfolio could be in achieving financial goals. This led to my interest in portfolio management topics, including, asset allocation, risk and return, and the psychology behind investing.


Before I graduated, I was also able to take courses with the Corporate Finance Institute, where I became certified as a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst.  The CFI program is a rigorous training course that closes the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications.  I gained hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of financial modeling, valuation methods, and business strategies.


A Legacy of Hard Work and Persistence


I grew up in San Diego, the son of small business owners who realized the American Dream. From their example I learned first hand that people have the power to create a new life for themselves through discipline, hard work, and persistence. My mother came to the United States at age seven, only able to speak Spanish. With perseverance through hours studying and reading, and a fierce desire to create a better life for her children, she became a college graduate with a degree in accounting. She helped start, develop, and grow our family catering business.

As a child, I grew up working in the family business. From building towering fruit displays, taste testing the rotisserie meats, planning our marketing, to leading catering events, I experienced how to run a company from the ground up. I observed the dedication and sacrifice needed to create something lasting. After my father died, I was in charge of operations and for several years, led the company transition. I learned the importance of a client-first mentality and how strong back-end operations support the overall client experience. My greatest joy came from working closely with clients to exceed their expectations and realize their vision.


Mastery means continued education and growth


I’ve always been driven by the idea of self-mastery and development. During my free-time I like to participate in activities that take ongoing practice and dedication, allowing for continuous growth and learning. These activities include yoga; meditation; surfing; weight lifting; reading and more. What I love about these activities is that you never can really “master” them.
